Trailer: ‘The Peaceful Island’

‘The Peaceful Island’ (平安岛 / 평안도) is a 2020 Chinese-South Korean action adventure directed by Chang Yoon-Hyun.

The film follows a group of ocean surveyors who find themselves stranded on a mysterious island. The cast includes Stanley Huang, Leon Dai, Jiao Junyan, Rayza, and Huang Jianwei.

Synopsis: During a routine operation, a group of ocean surveyors find themselves forced to take shelter on an uncharted island. As they begin to explore the bizarre terrain, they locate a stash of gold which forces arguments to erupt amongst the group. Suddenly, a poison gas begins to fill the island and escape becomes their biggest priority.

‘The Peaceful Island’, which was originally due for release in 2016, is now scheduled to come out later this year.
