‘The River of Fury’ (怒水西流) is a 2025 Chinese crime drama written and directed by Feng Yongqin.

The film revolves around the puzzling disappearance of a woman, potentially tied to a serial murder investigation that dates back twenty years. The cast includes Ning Li, Wang Xun, Liu Mintao, Duan Bowen, Li Chunai, Lu Xiaolin, and Chen Duling.

Synopsis: Yu Na (Chen Duling), a veterinarian at a pig farm, disappeared at night and her whereabouts are unknown. The clues point to the “evil ghost” who committed a series of rapes and murders 20 years ago. Their cruel ear-cutting method is horrifying and new victims have appeared one after another. Seven innocent lives have been brutally taken, but the real murderer has disappeared. Feng Taishan (Ning Li), a policeman involved in the case, is determined to find the “evil ghost” and look for traces of Yu Na. Her pig farm employer Yan Huiru (Liu Mintao) and her family behave strangely and everyone seems to have an unknown side.
