Trailer: ‘Tokyo Revengers’

‘Tokyo Revengers’ (東京リベンジャーズ) is a 2021 Japanese action drama directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa.

Based on the manga by Ken Wakui, the film follows a man struggling for direction in life who somehow finds himself thrown back in time with a chance to save the life of an ex-girlfriend. The cast includes Takumi Kitamura, Yuki Yamada, Yosuke Sugino, Mio Imada, Nobuyuki Suzuki, and Gordon Maeda.

Synopsis: Takemichi is a 26-year-old unemployed virgin who learns that the girl he dated in middle school, the only girl he ever dated, has died. Then, after an accident he finds himself in a time leap back to his middle school years. He vows to change the future and save the girl, and to do that he aims to rise to the top of the Kantou region’s most brutal delinquent gang.

‘Tokyo Revengers’ opens across Japan on July 9, 2021.
