‘Within’ (夹缝之间) is a 2024 Chinese crime drama written and directed by Guo Dalu.

The film revolves around a single mother and a police detective who uncover some long-hidden secrets after a body is discovered in an abandoned primary school. The cast includes Tao Xinran, Zhao Mingyue, and Wang Yiwen.

Synopsis: Single mother Li Qingcao (Tao Xinran) takes her daughter (Wang Yiwen) to work, and she desperately needs to find a primary school that will accept her daughter. Meanwhile, the remains of an old skeleton are unearthed from the walls of an abandoned primary school. Han Yan (Zhao Mingyue), the head of the county’s criminal police, discovers in the course of his investigation that the case involves five teenagers from years ago.
