Crunchyroll will release the 2025 Japanese animated fantasy film ‘Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved’ (小林さんちのメイドラゴン さみしがりやの竜) on Blu-ray in the UK on September 7, 2026.
Directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and based on Coolkyousinnjya’s manga series ‘Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid’, the film sees Kanna forced to choose between her family and the life she has made with Kobayashi and the others when her father returns to take her back to the dragon world. The Japanese voice cast includes Maria Naganawa, Mutsumi Tamura, Yuki Kuwahara, Yuichi Nakamura, and Daisuke Ono.
Synopsis: Kanna’s father returns to take her back to the dragon world as the Chaos and Harmony factions move closer to war. Torn between her duty to her family and loyalty to her friends, Kanna faces an increasingly difficult choice while a hidden force threatens both worlds.
