If you’re okay with quick-cut fight scenes and plenty of undercranking, then you’ll probably appreciate a lot of what ‘Legend Of The Wolf’ has to offer.

‘Legendary’ overcomes any budgetary limitations to deliver a solid adventure that harkens back to the fun monster movies of yesteryear.

As a pure piece of pulp entertainment, ‘Legendary Amazons’ is a hoot. Nevertheless, there is always the feeling at the back of your mind that a story as famous as this deserves much better handling.

Not a complete disaster but by no means the showcase that Wu Jing was no doubt hoping it would be.

‘Look For A Star’ will be welcomed by the legions of Andy Lau fans who are keen for the star to return to a genre he dominated at the end of the century.

‘Look Out, Officer!’ provides no real surprises but it is a solid slice of light-hearted comedy that makes the most out of its impressive cast.

‘Looking For Mister Perfect’ is the kind of light and fluffy film that one would associate with Wong Jing or Joe Ma and not the man responsible for savage hits like ‘City On Fire’ and ‘Full Contact’.

With Ivana Wong on board, a few satirical barbs at the industry and a degree of wit that while not exactly Neil Simon is refreshing, this is better than it should have been.

This may not be his very best comedy, but it is definitely worthwhile and among his better efforts. Therefore this still has much to commend and is well worth watching.

There are quite a few spurts of fight action, but these are in-keeping with the playful tone of the film and offer little spectacular.

It’s hard to think of a film that attempts to mix so many elements together, trying to please just about every potential viewer.

The high standards of satire and sentimentality that had previously been attained have been sacrificed in a bid to be ’more accessible’ – a double-edged sword if ever there was one.
