‘City Under Siege’ plods along to something of an anti-climax after nearly two hours, never achieving logical pacing or suspense.

‘Clash’, while not the full on action film it could have been, still provides enough low-rent thrills for the less judgemental fight fan.

What starts off as quite interesting and engaging becomes progressively more disjointed meaning drama and characters suffer.

While Jiang Lu-Xia is definitely a talent for the future the film itself barely seems to register on the excitement scale.

Despite some effective chemistry between N!xau and Lau Ching-Wan in some scenes, this is a strictly low-priority film.

Fans of Shirley Yu and Chen Ping or lurid seventies Chinese sex-comedies will find some rewarding nuggets of enjoyment within ‘Crazy Sex’.

Clifton Ko prefers to fill the film with dubious comedy and ‘Home Alone’-style action – certainly no compensation for even a few seconds of Sammo’s genius.

It’s nice to see Wilson and Rothrock back in action and there are some flashes of talent in amongst the fight scenes, but none of it is ever quite enough to overcome the film’s obvious faults.

Mainstream Hong Kong cinema has often embraced the bizarre and the baffling, but ‘Demon Of The Lute’ may be a step too far for many.

‘Dragon Ball Z: Tree Of Might’ is probably the weakest of the movies up until this point, simply because it feels like a case of going through the motions.

Even though it is littered with flaws, I feel I can’t give ‘Dragon Squad’ the complete thumbs down as it is one of those films that could easily pass for a guilty pleasure.

‘Driving Miss Wealthy’ simply isn’t sharp enough or emotionally engaging enough to sustain the attention.
