It may be To’s intention to slightly alienate the audience with characters stuck in limbo, without any explanations, but, if this is the case, he cannot be too surprised to learn that this is an uninvolving film.

Although ‘Time 4 Hope’ is certainly a solid film that remains watchable, it is memorable for its wasted potential rather than anything else.

‘Tragic Hero’ goes harder than its predecessor, jettisoning much of the overwrought drama and focusing on revenge mayhem and improved action.

It has a fairly optimistic aim of being a comedy ‘Detective Dee’ and while it might not quite achieve a happy union between its components this is an undemanding distraction.

Of course this wouldn’t be a Wong Jing film if some of the jokes weren’t bordering on tasteless and there are a couple that stretch the imagination, but thankfully they do little to deviate from the film’s general fun and frivolity.

Fast and fun ensemble action flick puts some of the best fight stars front and centre for an action blast straight out of the 1990s.

There is actually some entertainment to be derived from ‘Truant Hero’ and it exists on its own strengths rather than being completely reliant on its influences.

Action fans in particular will find much to appreciate here, especially the chance to see the Drunken style so excellently represented on screen.

‘Underground’ is a martial arts action movie and for such a low budget British movie, is a pretty damn good one.

The enjoyment that is had from viewing this modest, yet mostly rewarding production is that it is a character piece that avoids action or histrionics.

Despite being labelled as a DTV outing, ‘Universal Soldier: Regeneration’ emerges as both an entertaining entry into the franchise and a respectable little action movie.
