‘A Wicked Ghost’ is a vaguely interesting premise, let down by some rather pedestrian direction and generally wooden performances by its largely unknown cast.

Perhaps some fans may have fun trying to spot the obvious influences, but beyond that it’s hard to see why it would be worthy of your time.

The main problem with ‘Beauty On Duty’ is that it’s essentially a distillation of the legion of unfunny moments that Wong Jing has created throughout his long career.

It’s still a poor attempt at a revenge flick that is sorely lacking in action and regularly feels like a chore to sit through.

Boobs and blood can be a fun distraction but they aren’t enough to make up for a complete lack of anything else.

It’s possible that fans of Don Wilson or cheap action movies in general may appreciate it more, but to me it’s evident that the series was starting to run out of ideas.

Bernhardt puts in another solid performance, proving his abilities as a screen fighter with a certain charisma. Unfortunately, everything else is totally forgettable.

There’s very little action on offer and Seagal is just a secondary character in a movie in which his name and face are plastered all over the packaging.

‘Contract to Kill’ earns an extra half star for the editor’s efforts but the film as a whole is clearly far too broken to ever be fixed.

I’m normally a sucker for a cheesy monster movie but ‘D-War’ fails to produce the goods on just about every level.

Chan’s choreography is the only minor highlight, but otherwise this is really only suitable for hardcore Angela Mao fans.

‘Danger Dolls’ seems to have been recorded on someone’s iPhone and there are a greater range of sets in an Andy Milligan film than this one.
