3D Blu-ray & Blu-ray release: ‘Magnificent Bodyguards’

88 Films will release the 1978 Hong Kong martial arts action film ‘Magnificent Bodyguards’ (飛渡捲雲山) on 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray in the US on June 30, 2026.
Directed by Lo Wei, the film follows a group of bodyguards hired to escort a mysterious traveller through a dangerous frontier region. The cast includes Jackie Chan, James Tien, Bruce Leung, Wang Ping, and Fang Fang.
Synopsis: Three martial artists are hired to escort a gravely ill man across the notorious Stormy Hills, a lawless region controlled by bandits and criminals. Facing a relentless series of traps, ambushes, and deadly obstacles, they must rely on their wits and fighting skills to survive the journey. But as they draw closer to their destination, hidden motives and long-buried secrets begin to emerge, revealing that their mission is far more dangerous than they ever imagined.
