Blu-ray, DVD & Digital release: ‘731’

Well Go USA will release the 2025 Chinese historical drama ‘731’ on Digital in the US on April 7, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on June 2, 2026.
Co-written and directed by Zhao Linshan, the film follows a man assigned to oversee fellow detainees inside Unit 731 as he confronts the horrors of human experimentation. The cast includes Jiang Wu, Wang Zhiwen, Li Naiwen, Sun Qian, and Feng Wenjuan.
Synopsis: In the final days before Japan’s defeat in 1945, Unit 731 operated in Harbin under the guise of epidemic prevention while secretly conducting biological warfare research. Prisoners were confined and subjected to frostbite trials, poison gas exposure, and live dissection, as military doctors pursued increasingly lethal weapons. Through the perspective of Wang, an interpreter forced to mediate between captors and captives, the story examines suffering, complicity, and the struggle to endure within the camp’s walls.
