Blu-ray, DVD & Digital release: 'Rescue at Dongji'

Well Go USA will release the 2025 Chinese historical war drama ‘Rescue at Dongji’ (东极岛 / Dongji Rescue) on US Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on February 24, 2026.

Based on a true story and directed by Guan Hu and Fei Zhenxiang, the film follows a group of Dongji fishermen who courageously save and shelter British POWs after their ship is torpedoed. The cast includes Zhu Yilong, Leo Wu, Ni Ni, Yang Haoyu, Chen Minghao, and Ni Dahong.

Synopsis: When the Japanese transport ship, Lisbon Maru, is torpedoed off the coast of Dongji Island, the lives of over 300 British soldiers onboard are threatened. Their only hope is a small group of defiant fishermen who will do anything to save them.
