Blu-ray, DVD & Digital release: 'The Butcher's Blade'

Well Go USA will release the 2026 Chinese wuxia crime drama ‘The Butcher’s Blade’ (手遮天) on Digital in the US on May 12, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on July 7, 2026.

Directed by Liu Wenpu, the film follows an honest constable framed for a major theft who, caught between serving corrupt officials and fighting for his freedom, must choose where his loyalties lie. The cast includes Liu Fengchao, Yuan Fufu, Chunyu Shanshan, Liu Chao, and Gao Weiman.

Synopsis: When thousands in disaster relief funds disappear, upstanding constable Xue Buyi is framed for the disappearance. Desperate to prove his innocence, he takes a job with a secret squad whose only goal is to serve and protect those who can afford to pay. Forced to choose between his integrity and his freedom, Xue decides the only path forward is to fight back and hope that exposing these dangerous agents of chaos will be enough to set him free.
