Blu-ray, DVD & Digital release: ‘The Kung Fu Kid’

Well Go USA will release the 2024 Chinese animated action-comedy ‘The Kung Fu Kid’ (I Am What I Am 2 / 雄狮少年2) on Digital in the US on August 11, followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on September 15, 2026.
Directed by Sun Haipeng, the film follows a village boy who enters a brutal martial arts competition in Shanghai in a desperate attempt to save his sick father and repay his family’s medical debts. The voice cast includes Li Xin, Guo Hao, Chen Yexiong, Cai Xinran, and Wang Yilang.
Synopsis: A village boy travels to Shanghai, desperate to save his sick father and repay his family’s medical debts. Recruited by a local kung fu gym, he enters ‘Shanghai Fight Night’, a brutal tournament packed with elite fighters and techniques from around the world. Embodying the fading tradition of Chinese martial arts, he embarks on a gripping tale of heritage, sacrifice, and the ultimate pursuit of victory.
