Radiance Films will release the 1973 Japanese crime drama ‘Aesthetics of a Bullet’ (鉄砲玉の美学) on UK Blu-ray on May 18, 2026, followed by a US release on May 19.
Directed by Sadao Nakajima, the film follows a small-time drifter drawn into a yakuza scheme, only to find himself out of his depth when violence becomes real. The cast includes Tsunehiko Watase, Miki Sugimoto, Mitsuru Mori, Asao Koike, and Ichiro Araki.
Synopsis: A yakuza gang selects a good-for-nothing street vendor to stir up trouble in enemy territory. With a flashy suit, a gun, and a pocketful of money, he feels like a king. But when trouble comes knocking, he realises that waving a gun and pulling the trigger are two very different things.
