Blu-ray release: ‘God of Gamblers II’

88 Films will release the 1990 Hong Kong action-comedy ‘God of Gamblers II’ (賭俠) on UK Blu-ray on April 27, 2026.
Written and directed by Wong Jing, the film sees the Knight of Gamblers and the Saint of Gamblers join forces to stop a ruthless rival exploiting the God of Gamblers’ reputation for a casino scam. The cast includes Andy Lau, Stephen Chow, Monica Chan, Ng Man-Tat, and Sharla Cheung.
Synopsis: Back to the casino – only this time, the Joker’s wild. After his adventures with the world’s greatest gambler in the first film, crafty Knife (Andy Lau) teams up with another preternaturally gifted card sharp, Sing, played by Stephen Chow, here at his absolute silliest. But the odds are stacked against them: a crooked rival wants to take Knife out for good — and he’s dealing from the bottom of the deck.
