Blu-ray release: 'Golden Boy'

CN Entertainment will release the 2025 Hong Kong sports drama ‘Golden Boy’ (金童) on Hong Kong Blu-ray on March 31, 2026.

Directed by Joe Chan, the film charts a former boxing prodigy rebuilding his life and reconnecting with the son he never knew as he attempts a return to the ring. The cast includes Louis Cheung, Eric Tsang, Rosa Maria Velasco, Lam Suet, Tommy Chu, and Leander Lau.

Synopsis: Cheung Lek (Louis Cheung) was once the “Golden Boy” of the boxing world, but a costly error sent him to prison for manslaughter. Ten years later, now 34, he is released and meets his son, Fong Yuen (Leander Lau), for the first time. To inherit Fong Yuen’s mother’s (Ali Lee) estate, Cheung Lek must live with his son. Facing hardship and the pressures of fatherhood, he gradually changes as he reconciles with his son and finds new purpose in life. Encouraged by his coach (Eric Tsang), Cheung Lek rekindles his boxing dream and strives to return to the ring and become a role model for his son.
