Blu-ray release: ‘Nikkatsu Erotica: Volume One’

Imprint Films will release ‘Nikkatsu Erotica: Volume One’ on Blu-ray in Australia on August 26, 2026.
The two-film set brings together Tatsumi Kumashiro’s Roman Porno classics ‘Wet Desire’ (Ichijo’s Wet Lust / 一条さゆり 濡れた欲情) and ‘Lovers Are Wet’ (恋人たちは濡れた). The cast across both films includes Sayuri Ichijo, Kazuko Shirakawa, Hiroko Isayama, Rie Nakagawa, Tetsu Oe, and Koichi Hori.
Wet Desire (1972):
An ambitious young stripper becomes consumed by her rivalry with legendary performer Sayuri Ichijo, pursuing ever more provocative performances in a bid to eclipse her idol while her turbulent personal life threatens to spiral out of control.
Lovers Are Wet (1973):
A young man returns to his coastal hometown hoping to escape the violent past he left behind in Tokyo. While working at a rundown cinema, he finds himself drawn into new relationships that threaten to expose the secrets he has tried so hard to bury.
