Blu-ray release: ‘Sex & Fury’ & ‘Female Yakuza Tale’

Arrow Video will release the 1973 Japanese exploitation action films ‘Sex & Fury’ (不良姐御伝猪の鹿お蝶) and ‘Female Yakuza Tale’ (やさぐれ姐御伝総括リンチ) on Limited Edition Blu-ray in the UK on July 7, 2026.

Directed by Norifumi Suzuki and Teruo Ishii and based on the manga by Tooru Shinohara, the films revolve around a gambler and swordswoman whose adventures take her from a personal quest for vengeance to battles with rival yakuza organisations. The cast across both films includes Reiko Ike, Christina Lindberg, Akemi Negishi, Tatsuo Umemiya, Miki Sugimoto, and Hideo Murota.

Sex & Fury: After witnessing the murder of her police detective father as a child, Kyoko Kasai adopts the name Ocho Inoshika and grows into a skilled gambler and swordswoman marked by a distinctive boar, deer, and butterfly tattoo. While searching for her father’s killers, she is drawn into a web of yakuza intrigue and international espionage involving a British agent whose schemes threaten the future of Japan.

Female Yakuza Tale: Arriving in Kobe, Ocho is mistaken for a drug courier and finds herself caught up in a yakuza conspiracy involving narcotics trafficking and rival criminal factions. After uncovering a scheme that exploits female pickpockets as unwilling drug mules, she sets out to expose those responsible and confront a ruthless yakuza clan connected to the operation.
