Blu-ray release: ‘Zipang’

Toy Robot Video will release the 1990 Japanese action fantasy ‘Zipang’ (ZIPANG ジパング) on Blu-ray in the UK on November 16, 2026.
Directed by Kaizo Hayashi, the film follows a samurai outlaw who discovers a golden sword that holds the key to the legendary kingdom of Zipang, drawing the attention of a female bounty hunter who is already on his trail. The cast includes Masahiro Takashima, Narumi Yasuda, Bengal, Shiro Sano, Mikio Narita, Haruko Wanibuchi, and Mikijiro Hira.
Synopsis: Samurai outlaw Jigoku Gokurakumaru and his band of renegades steal a mysterious golden sword, unaware that it is one of the keys to the legendary kingdom of Zipang. With gunslinger and bounty hunter Yuri the Pistol pursuing him, Jigoku sets out in search of the mythical land of gold, where supernatural forces and an ancient secret await them.
