Theatrical release: ‘Being Towards Death’

Trinity CineAsia will release the 2026 Chinese comedy-drama ‘Being Towards Death’ (10间敢死队) in selected cinemas across the UK on June 5, 2026.
Written and directed by Chen Sicheng, the film follows a struggling man who takes a job caring for terminally ill patients in a hospice ward. The cast includes Jiang Long, Qi Xi, Yang Chaoyue, Wang Zichuan, Zhang Chi, Cao Bingkun, Huang Yi, Ye Quanxi, Ni Dahong, and Cai Ming.
Synopsis: After losing his family and surviving a failed suicide attempt, Xiaobing finds himself burdened by debt and struggling to move forward. Desperate for work, he takes a job providing emotional support to terminally ill patients in Cancer Ward No. 10. What begins as a means of survival gradually becomes a life-changing experience as he forms unexpected bonds with a group of patients who refuse to let illness define them. Joining them in their final wishes, spontaneous adventures, and moments of courage, Xiaobing embarks on a journey that transforms his outlook on life.
