‘A Story About Fire’ (燃比娃) is a 2026 Chinese animated fantasy adventure directed by Li Wenyu.
The film depicts a journey of transformation as a monkey raised by humans ventures toward a sacred mountain and undergoes a trial that transforms him. The voice cast includes Yang Haoyu, Zhou Xun, Bei Yile, and Kang Chunlei.
Synopsis: A monkey raised among humans sets out to uncover the meaning of warmth, following the path of his mother, Awubaji, toward a sacred mountain. Along the way, he confronts the Beast of Fear and seizes a spark of fire from its jaws. Consumed by flames, his body is transformed as he sheds his fur and is reborn in human form. [© Far East Films]
