‘All the Good Eyes’ (森中有林) is a 2026 Chinese crime drama written and directed by Zheng Zhi.
The film explores how an act of violence binds two families across generations, as buried secrets and unresolved grievances resurface over time. The cast includes Yu Hewei, Gao Yuanyuan, Han Geng, Zhang Tianai, and Qiao Shan.
Synopsis: After losing an eye in a violent incident, a dismissed prison guard unexpectedly introduces his daughter to the man responsible, believing the sacrifice might secure her future. Years later, as she builds a life of her own, his past resurfaces when he rekindles a relationship with a former lover, drawing him into a concealed murder case. The fallout entangles two families across three generations in a cycle of love, resentment, and unresolved debts, stretching from China’s northeast to Hainan over decades, as the question remains whether one life can ever truly atone for another.
