‘Ciao UFO’ (再見UFO) is a 2026 Hong Kong drama directed by Patrick Leung.
The film follows three childhood friends whose shared memory of a mysterious sighting resurfaces when they meet again years later. The cast includes Charlene Choi, Chui Tien-You, Wong Yau-Nam, Michelle Wai, Ng Siu-Hin, and Rachel Leung.
Synopsis: In 1985, rumours spread through Aberdeen’s Wah Fu Estate after a UFO reportedly flew low over the neighbourhood, turning the sighting into a local legend. Three teenagers—Chen Zijian, Ho Ka-him, and Lam Ho-yee—witness the strange light. As they grow older, their lives follow different paths while Hong Kong itself undergoes sweeping changes from the hopeful 1980s to the uncertain new millennium. When the three friends reunite years later, both they and the city feel unfamiliar, leaving them to wonder what the mysterious light they once saw from a rooftop truly was. [© Far East Films]
