‘Crossing’ (四渡) is a 2026 Chinese historical war drama directed by Xu Zhanxiong.
The film chronicles the Red Army’s legendary Four Crossings of the Chishui River campaign during the Long March. The cast includes Liu Ye, Wang Lei, Yu Shi, Wang Zhifei, David Wang, and Lin Yongjian.
Synopsis: As the Red Army faces destruction during the Long March, Mao Zedong leads a daring series of manoeuvres designed to outwit a far stronger enemy. Forced to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, the army repeatedly crosses the Chishui River, turning retreat into opportunity and confusion into advantage.
