‘Kyatoru Myuti Reiko’ (キャトルミューティ玲子) is a 2025 Japanese comedy directed by Kai Yamaguchi.
The film centres on a romantically inexperienced private detective who becomes infatuated with a mysterious woman while investigating her increasingly strange behaviour. The cast includes Kai Yamaguchi, Mahane Maeda, Mari Yonemura, Emiko Tagawa, and Atsuhiro Takahashi.
Synopsis: Private detective Suzuya spends his days searching for missing pets and investigating affairs. When he receives a strange new assignment, his investigation brings him into contact with increasingly bizarre behaviour from those around him and the irresistible allure of a woman named Reiko, who gradually takes over his thoughts. Originally released in Japan on September 26, 2025, ‘Kyatoru Myuti Reiko’ will return to cinemas from August 15, 2026, beginning with a week-long run at K’s cinema in Tokyo.
