‘Mimibukuro Yobanashi’ (耳袋夜噺) is a 2026 Japanese horror anthology film directed by Kazuki Watanabe, Yuta Hayata, Yoshinobu Nakamura, Yoshihide Mino, Daiichiro Natsume, Daisuke Takanashi, Yuki Sasaki, Yuki Onimura, Shinsuke Fujioka, and Yuri Tsujikawa.

Bringing together ten short films from a group of emerging Japanese filmmakers, the anthology explores a variety of supernatural encounters and disturbing events hidden within everyday life. The cast includes Hirona Unjo, Ayaka Takahashi, Nanae, Nana Kudo, Honeytrap Umeki, Yuzuki Mitsuishi, Yae Kiyose, Misa Kurihara, Hina Makino, and Rei Fujizono.

Synopsis: Ten stories explore different corners of contemporary Japanese horror, from a deadly night-time routine and disturbing encounters in vacant houses to a mysterious girl haunting an abandoned school and a grieving daughter who summons something far more dangerous than her dead father. Elsewhere, an idol is plagued by supernatural incidents after losing her late sister’s power stone, actors discover that their lives are being controlled by the words of a script, and a transfer student dreams of a strange sea filled with cherry blossoms.
