‘My Lover’ (我的爱人) is a 2026 Chinese romantic drama directed by Yang Tongxin.
The film follows a wealthy young woman and the man she loves as they struggle to preserve their relationship after choosing love over financial security. The cast includes Zhang Shengxuan, Zhang Wanying, Chen Xinyu, Lin Mo, Su Xiaoding, and Ouyang Fenqiang.
Synopsis: Yuan Xinyi, the daughter of a wealthy family, falls in love with Liang Jingtian, a young man from a poor background, during their school years, and their relationship continues into university. Upon graduation, Liang remains in the city in the hope of earning the approval of Xinyi’s family, while she defies her parents and chooses to build a life with him despite losing their financial support. As the couple struggle through the hardships of everyday life, the idealism that once sustained their relationship gradually fades beneath the pressures of reality. [© Far East Films]
