‘Tango at Dawn’ (새벽의 Tango) is a 2026 South Korean drama written and directed by Kim Hyo-Eun.

The film follows a withdrawn woman who begins to open up through an unlikely friendship, until an accident disrupts her fragile recovery. The cast includes Lee Yeon, Kwon So-Hyun, Park Han-Sol, Lee Dong-Hoon, and Oh Kyung-Joo.

Synopsis: After being deeply hurt by the betrayal of a close friend, Jiwon retreats from the world and takes a job at a factory, where she meets her roommate Juhee, whose warmth and optimism stand in stark contrast to her guarded nature. Though initially overwhelmed by Juhee’s insistence on learning the tango together, Jiwon gradually begins to follow her hesitant steps, beginning to open up again and regain the courage to trust. Just as she starts to believe in others once more, an accident caused by a young supervisor entangles them both, shaking the stability she has begun to rebuild. [© Far East Films]

‘Tango at Dawn’ is scheduled for release in South Korea on April 22, 2026.
