‘The Boy Who Counted Cars’ (我看见两朵一样的云) is a 2026 Chinese sci-fi romantic drama co-written and directed by Linq Yim.

The film centres on an eccentric young man whose search for proof that reality is artificial takes an unexpected turn after he meets a free-spirited young woman. The cast includes Roy Wang, Wen Qi, Wen Moyan, Yan Nan, Zhang Songwen, and Chen Chuang.

Synopsis: Convinced that the world around him is a simulation, A-Zhi spends much of his time searching for proof that reality is not what it seems. His obsession begins to fade when he meets the spirited and unpredictable Xiao Yi, and the two quickly fall in love. As their relationship deepens, A-Zhi finds himself torn between the happiness he has discovered and the questions that continue to haunt him, forcing him to consider whether Xiao Yi is truly the answer he has been searching for or part of the mystery itself.
