‘The Guardian’ (납치 48시간) is a 2026 South Korean action thriller directed by Jeong Jang-Hwan.
The film follows a young man drawn into a desperate battle against a criminal organisation after his mother is abducted over unpaid debts. The cast includes Nam Woo-Hyun, Park Eun-Hye, Han Jae-Suk, Kim Ok-Joo, and Kim Ji-Oh.
Synopsis: Businesswoman Mijin’s life in the Philippines unravels after she falls into gambling addiction through the influence of a powerful Korean crime syndicate. As resentment grows between her and her son Dojun, a former taekwondo hopeful, ruthless gang leader Dongcheol kidnaps Mijin over her debts.
