‘The Shrine’ (신사: 악귀의 속삭임) is a 2026 South Korean horror thriller directed by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri.

The film follows a group of students drawn into a series of terrifying events after visiting a ruined shrine in an abandoned Japanese village. The cast includes Kim Jae-Joong, Kong Seong-Ha, Ko Hoon-Jeong, Kino Hana, and Na Hyun-Jin.

Synopsis: In an abandoned village near Kobe, university students participating in an international art exchange begin preparing an exhibition inside a cluster of derelict buildings. But after one of them disappears while exploring a nearby ruined shrine, a string of disturbing deaths and disappearances follows. As panic spreads, the group’s manager Yumi turns to a shaman named Myungjin, who travels to Japan after sensing a sinister presence surrounding the shrine. [© Far East Films]
