‘The TunPu’ (关索岭) is a 2026 Chinese war drama directed by Daniel Yu.
The film follows two rivals who are forced to put aside their differences when war reaches their community. The cast includes Zhang Danfeng, Zhang Aoyue, Chen Duling, Zhang Mingming, and Liu Yang.
Synopsis: Ding Hu and Shen Xiaofei, descendants of Ming soldiers, both fall in love with a tea picker named Jin’er while living in a peaceful rural community. When the Tunpu settlement they call home becomes a strategic target during the Japanese invasion, their rivalry is overshadowed by the threat facing their community. As war engulfs the region, the two men join forces and lead their fellow villagers in a determined defence centred on Guansuo Ridge, risking everything to protect their homeland from occupying forces.
