• Manga creator Hirohiko Araki has announced that ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind’ (aka ‘Vento Aureo’) will receive a television anime adaptation starting this October.

‘Golden Wind’ is the fifth part in the JoJo series and opens with Jotaro and Koichi travelling to Naples to investigate a person known as Giorno Giovanna. The story then follows Giorno in his goal to rise to the top of the Passione mafia group and turn it into a band of honourable thieves.

• Here’s the first trailer for TMS Entertainment’s original 3DCG television anime series ‘Space Bug’. Premiering on July 8, the story centres around a group of insects left behind on a space station, who begin a grand journey to return to their hometown on Earth. The voice cast includes Natsumi Ogawa, Tomoyuki Maruyama, Yasuyuki Sano, Takahiro Fujiwara, and Kouji Ochiai.

• The comedy manga ‘Jingai’s Wife’ (Jingai-san no Yome) by Akiwo Yasaka and Yu Aikawa will be getting a television anime adaptation later this year. The rather bizarre story follows a 16-year-old male high school student who marries a mysterious and fluffy lifeform. The voice cast includes Daiki Yamashita, Kengo Kawanishi, and Taku Yashiro.

• Aniplex of America have released the first English-subtitled trailer for the anime adaptation of Tadahiro Miura’s ‘Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs’ (Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san) manga. Premiering on Crunchyroll on July 14, the story revolves around the antics of a high school boy who is told he will be allowed to live rent free in a hot springs inn if he can banish a ghost. The voice cast includes Yuuki Ono, Miyuri Shimabukuro, Eri Suzuki, Rie Takahashi, and Ai Kakuma.

• Writer and producer Warren Ellis took to twitter recently to confirm that the Netflix ‘Castlevania’ series will be getting a second 8-episode season airing later this year. Based on the third game in the series, ‘Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse’, the story follows a hunter known as Trevor Belmont as he travels across Europe in an attempt to take down Dracula. If you missed it, the first season is still available on Netflix.
