4K UHD & Blu-ray release: ‘The Corruptor’

Toy Robot Video will release the 1999 American action thriller ‘The Corruptor’ on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in the UK on November 9, 2026, followed by a US release on November 10.

Directed by James Foley, the film follows an NYPD lieutenant whose ties to the Triads are complicated by the arrival of a rookie detective as the pair become caught up in a violent gang war in Manhattan’s Chinatown. The cast includes Chow Yun-Fat, Mark Wahlberg, Ric Young, Brian Cox, Paul Ben-Victor, and Byron Mann.

Synopsis: NYPD Lieutenant Nick Chen heads the Asian Gang Unit in Manhattan’s Chinatown while secretly maintaining ties to the local Triads. When rookie detective Danny Wallace is assigned as his partner, the two find themselves investigating an escalating turf war between the established Tongs and the Fukienese Dragons. As the violence intensifies, Chen’s divided loyalties threaten to expose the corruption surrounding both the gangs and the police.
