‘Sunshine on the Road’ (가족여행) is a 2026 South Korean family drama co-directed by Jeong Jong-Seop and Kim Jung-Tae.
The film follows a family who set off on an impromptu trip to Busan to celebrate the birthday of an elderly relative who is living with dementia. The cast includes Lee Hwi-Hyang, Seo Young-Hee, Kim Jung-Tae, Nam Kyung-Eup, Hong Jung-Min, and Park Sang-Myun.
Synopsis: Young-Joo has been supporting her family while caring for her mother-in-law Soon-Im, who is living with dementia. When she is told that Soon-Im can no longer remain at her care centre, the family pile into an old van and set off for Busan to celebrate her birthday. As their journey continues, the real reason for the trip begins to emerge, along with secrets the family have been keeping from one another. [© Far East Films]
