4K UHD, Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘The Girl Who Leapt Through Time’

Anime Limited will release the 2006 Japanese animated sci-fi drama ‘The Girl Who Leapt Through Time’ (時をかける少女) on 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, and DVD in the UK on June 29, 2026.
Directed by Mamoru Hosoda and based on the novel by Yasutaka Tsutsui, the film follows a teenage girl who discovers she has the ability to leap through time. The voice cast includes Riisa Naka, Takuya Ishida, Mitsutaka Itakura, Ayami Kakiuchi, and Keiko Toda.
Synopsis: Makoto Konno is an ordinary high-school student whose life changes when she unexpectedly gains the power to travel backwards through time. At first she uses her newfound ability to avoid everyday problems and awkward situations, but repeated leaps begin to have unforeseen consequences for the people around her. As she struggles to set things right, Makoto is forced to confront the impact of her choices and the fleeting nature of youth.
