Blu-ray release: ‘Operation Scorpio’

88 Films will release the 1992 Hong Kong martial arts action film ‘Operation Scorpio’ (蠍子戰士) on Blu-ray in the UK on August 10, 2026, followed by a US release on August 11.
Directed by David Lai, the film follows an aspiring martial artist who finds himself drawn into a battle against a ruthless criminal organisation after rescuing a young woman from danger. The cast includes Chin Ka-Lok, Liu Chia-Liang, Kim Won-Jin, May Lo, and Wu Fung.
Synopsis: Fai Yuk-Su is a comic book enthusiast who dreams of becoming a martial arts hero. When he rescues a young woman from a human trafficking ring protected by corrupt officials and powerful criminals, he becomes a target himself. With the guidance of an eccentric kung fu master, he begins training for a confrontation with the feared Scorpion King, a deadly fighter whose devastating kicking techniques have made him almost impossible to defeat.
