Imprint Films will release ‘The Erotic Films of Li Han-Hsiang: Volume One’ on Blu-ray in Australia on August 26, 2026.

The collection brings together three Shaw Brothers erotic dramas directed by Li Han-Hsiang: ‘Illicit Desire’ (風流韻事), ‘The Golden Lotus’ (金瓶雙艷), and ‘Moods of Love’ (騙財騙色). The cast across the films includes Yueh Hua, Chen Ping, Ku Feng, Hu Chin, Peter Yang Kwan, Tanny Tien Ni, and Siu Yam-Yam.

Illicit Desire (1973):
Made up of three stories drawn from celebrated Chinese tales, the film follows Emperor Taizong’s attempt to obtain the treasured Lanting calligraphy scroll, a Ming dynasty scholar’s elaborate revenge against his father’s killer, and the comic exploits of a gifted fortune teller.

The Golden Lotus (1974):
The ruthless womaniser Ximen Qing seduces Pan Jinlian and persuades her to murder her husband before bringing her into his household. As rivalry grows among his wives, he turns his attention to another married woman, unaware that his unchecked desires will ultimately lead to his downfall.

Moods of Love (1977):
Two tales of lust and temptation unfold in this anthology, as a courtesan is enlisted to test a Buddhist monk’s vow of celibacy, while a young woman is forced into prostitution to repay the debts left behind by her late mother.
