Blu-ray release: 'Ultraman: Towards the Future' & 'Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero'

Alliance Entertainment will release a Blu-ray set featuring two Japanese tokusatsu series — ‘Ultraman: Towards the Future’ (Ultraman Great / ウルトラマンG グレート) and ‘Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero’ (Ultraman Powered / ウルトラマンパワード) — in the US on May 12, 2026.

Ultraman: Towards the Future (1991):
After a mission to Mars brings him into contact with a powerful alien warrior, astronaut Jack Shindo (Dore Kraus) returns to Earth bonded with the being so they can stop a deadly organism that has followed them back to the planet. Working alongside an international defence team, Jack gains the ability to transform into the giant hero Ultraman Great to battle monstrous threats and defend Earth.

Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero (1995):
After investigating a mysterious object from space, agent Kenichi Kai (Kane Kosugi) of the defence organisation WINR is saved by a giant alien warrior who merges with him while pursuing a hostile alien race known as the Baltans. With the ability to transform into the colossal hero Ultraman Powered, Kai joins his team in battling invading aliens and monstrous threats while uncovering the Baltans’ plan to study and ultimately defeat Ultraman.
