Blu-ray release: ‘Where’s Officer Tuba?’

88 Films will release the 1986 Hong Kong supernatural action comedy ‘Where’s Officer Tuba?’ (霹靂大喇叭) on Blu-ray in the UK on October 26, 2026.
Directed by Philip Chan and Ricky Lau, the film follows a timid police officer who is haunted by the ghost of his former partner after failing to honour a promise to avenge his death. The cast includes Sammo Hung, David Chiang, Jacky Cheung, Joey Wong, and Paul Chang Chung.
Synopsis: When timid police officer Tuba (Sammo Hung) – more interested in music than chasing crooks – is put on a dangerous mission, he witnesses the killing of decorated hero Chow, who makes him promise to avenge his death. However, when he fails to live up to his promise, Chow returns as a ghost. This supernatural action comedy plunges Tuba into a world of ghosts, mayhem, and reluctant heroics.
