‘Fate’s Decision’ (命抉) is a 2026 Chinese crime drama directed by Liu Yuze.

Set against the redevelopment of an urban village, the film centres on a local resident whose violent resistance to demolition conceals a far more complicated motive. The cast includes Shao Tong, Mu Lan, Fang Xiaoli, Yang Lin, Hong Bo, and Gao Ziwei.

Synopsis: As an urban village undergoes demolition and redevelopment, resident Tu Benqian violently resists the developers, attacking someone with a knife before fleeing and continuing his pursuit of revenge. His behaviour grows increasingly alarming when he threatens to bomb a school, yet the motives behind his actions remain unclear. His repeated payments to strangers and rejection of a woman with whom he shares mutual feelings only deepen the mystery, as a far greater secret gradually emerges behind his seemingly inexplicable choices.
