‘Iwaiyama’ (祝山) is a 2026 Japanese supernatural horror film directed by Shingo Takeda.
Based on the novel by Nanami Kamon, the film follows a horror novelist who becomes entangled in a series of unexplained events while searching for inspiration for her next novel. The cast includes Ai Hashimoto, Ren Ishikawa, Sayu Kubota, Yuya Matsuura, Takuya Kusakawa, and Go Riju.
Synopsis: Horror novelist Minami Kazuno receives a letter from a former school friend describing a series of unexplained incidents that began after a group of classmates visited a notorious abandoned ruin. Reuniting with those involved, she begins investigating the mystery and uncovers a connection to Iwaiyama, a forbidden mountain steeped in local superstition and long-standing taboos.
