‘Mobuko’s Love’ (モブ子の恋) is a 2026 Japanese romantic drama directed by Taiki Kazama.

Based on the manga by Akane Tamura, the film follows a reserved young woman who begins to see herself differently after falling for a co-worker at her part-time job. The cast includes Hiyori Sakurada, Taisei Kido, Ikoi Hayase, Erika Karata, Takuya Kusakawa, Towa Araki, and Kanji Furutachi.

Synopsis: A reserved university student has long seen herself as little more than a background character in other people’s lives, content to watch from the sidelines while those around her take centre stage. Working part-time at a supermarket, she begins to develop feelings for a kind and considerate co-worker whose quiet gestures gradually draw her out of her shell. As their relationship deepens, she begins to push beyond the limitations she has placed on herself, finding support among her colleagues while learning to navigate the uncertainties of first love.
