‘The Lock In’ is a 2026 British martial arts action comedy written and directed by Nathan Geering.
The film follows a man who arrives at an English pub for a romantic first date, only to find himself trapped inside when the venue closes its doors for an underground fighting event known as the Lock In. The cast includes Nathan Geering, Drew Sinclair, Connor Lee Dye, Hamish Cameron, Scott Matthews, and Keith Vitali.
Synopsis: A young man arrives at a pub expecting an ordinary first date, but the evening takes a violent turn when the doors are locked and a mysterious bartender becomes the target of a gang determined to kill him. With the pub hosting a brutal underground fighting event known as the Lock In, he suddenly finds himself caught in the middle and forced to fight his way through the night while trying to keep both himself and his date alive. ‘The Lock In’ will screen at the Spirit of Independence Film Festival in Sheffield, which runs from September 25–27, 2026.
