From the mid-nineties through the first decade of the New Millennium I wrote about Asian cinema, by and large, on a voluntary basis for the likes of Eastern Heroes, Hong Kong Superstars, Chinatown Video (Australia) and Screem (as fanzines and niche publishers seldom pay lower profile contributors). As my interest in Asian cinema waned I hosted the review blog Hong Kong Rewind from 2010 to 2012. Shortly thereafter an unexpected medical diagnosis forced me to hang up my keyboard. As good fortune would have it, the team at FEF kindly offered a final resting place for some of my less embarrassing ramblings for a new generation to suffer.
