Blu-ray release: ‘Crazy Lips’ & ‘Gore from Outer Space’

Third Window Films will release the Japanese horror double feature ‘Crazy Lips’ (発狂する唇) and ‘Gore from Outer Space’ (血を吸う宇宙) on a limited edition Blu-ray set in the UK on September 14, 2026.

Produced by Takashige Ichise, written by Hirohisa Sasaki and directed by Hirohisa Sasaki, the 2-disc special edition contains new director-approved restorations of both cult horror films.

Crazy Lips (2000): Satomi and her family are hounded by the press when her brother is accused of a vicious killing spree. Desperate to prove his innocence, Satomi goes to a psychic for help. The price the psychic asks is far more than she expected, and the answers they give her are nothing she could ever have imagined.

Gore from Outer Space (2001): Just before being led to the electric chair for the murder of her daughter Misato, Satomi tells her story to a nun. It began with no one believing Satomi’s account of her daughter’s kidnapping. When the police begin their investigation, Satomi’s husband insists they never had a daughter, leading to a bizarre tale of psychics, corrupt politicians, headless corpses, eccentric FBI agents, and extraterrestrial horrors.
