Blu-ray release: ‘Sex and Zen II’

88 Films will release the 1996 Hong Kong erotic fantasy ‘Sex and Zen II’ (玉蒲團II玉女心經) on Blu-ray in the UK on June 29, 2026.

Directed by Cash Chin, the film centres on a young woman raised as a man whose relationship with a scholar is threatened by a woman with supernatural powers. The cast includes Rachel Lee, Shu Qi, Elvis Tsui, Ben Ng, and Ken Lok.

Synopsis: Raised as a boy by her wealthy father, Yiau leaves home to pursue an education while disguised as a man and protected by a chastity belt. As she begins a romance with a young scholar, her family becomes entangled with a woman possessing supernatural powers.
